THE BEGINNING OF FRIENDS
Formal fundraising for Santa Claus, Inc. began in 1952, with the first Christmas Tree Lane event being hosted in 1962. In recent years the increased need for services necessitated the creation of a separate non-profit corporation whose sole purpose is to focus on fundraising.
In September, 2013, Friends of Santa Claus, Inc. was formed to facilitate fundraising needs.
Friends of Santa Claus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial support to organizations dedicated to meeting the needs of underprivileged families
in both San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Santa Claus, Inc. serves underprivileged families:
The Transpacific Yacht Race, July 10, 2019, is the most prestigious offshore race in the Pacific. It is not easy, but it is a 'bucket list' item for many sailors. Team Macondo has eleven competitive crew members, which includes the Board President of Friends of Santa Claus, Inc., Michelle Kimbro.
Our Sailors for Santa will be racing to promote the awareness of child poverty and raise funds for Friends of Santa Claus, Inc. The $25 donation to Sailors for Santa will include a nautical bracelet with a custom charm and a note card with the proceeds going to Friends of Santa Claus, Inc.
Additional tax-deductible financial gifts are gratefully accepted as well.
